East China Normal University Press (ECNUP)
East China Normal University Press (ECNUP, 华东师范大学出版社) is one of the two oldest extant university presses (est. 1957), and is a National Publishing House of the PRC, meaning it is recognized as one of the top four educational publishers in China. According to the General Administration of Press and Publication, ECNUP is one of the top 20 university publishers and one of the top 100 publishers overall in China. Aside from being a leading educational publisher, ECNUP is also a top publisher of philosophy, comparative literature, and mathematics in China.

Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House (SHLAPH)
According to the General Administration of Press and Publication, Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House (SHLAPH, 上海文艺出版社) is one of the top nine literature publishers and one of the top 100 publishers overall in China. Many of their books are winners of literature awards in China. For instance, the non-fiction book 40 Degrees North Latitude was named as a Top Books of the Century in 2021, a Top Ten Book of 2021, a Top Chinese Book of 2021, and won a Peking University World Chinese Literature Award in 2023. And the non-fiction book Going to Beichuan was named a Top Chinese Book of 2024, a Recommended Excellent Chinese Work in 2024 (by the Chinese Reportage Association), and inducted into the Chinese Literature Annual Archives in 2024 by the China Contemporary Literature Research Association.

Shanghai People’s Publishing House (SHPPH, 上海人民出版社) is a National Publishing House of the PRC, meaning it is recognized as one of the top eight comprehensive publishers in China (alongside People’s Press, Commercial Press, China Renmin University Press, Peking University Press, Fudan University Press, etc.). The General Administration of Press and Publication ranks SHPPH as one of the top 31 social science publishing houses and one of the top 100 publishers overall in China. SHPPH is the publisher of the Contemporary International Politics series, the first of its kind in China, which has been actively issuing award-winning annual monographs for over 30 years.
