Research Collections
East View produces a variety of collections attractive to researchers
and graduate level students in political science disciplines.
We offer unique materials from WWII military archives not previously
available in the West. Our collections comprise military books and dissertations
written by top-ranking Soviet commanders and published by various Soviet
military academies.
Regional collections from Russia and Ukraine cover the most interesting
period of the history of the former USSR – the collapse of the Soviet
regime. Newest research materials are newly declassified documents from
Ukrainian KGB on the Chernobyl disaster.
Our demographic collections include findings for censuses from the Russian
Empire (1897), important statistical resources of the Soviet Union, and
a tally of prison inmates from 1970 to 1994 conducted by the Ministry
of Internal Affairs.
Most of East View’s indispensable collections are now available
in two formats: microfiche and CD-ROM (full-image PDF).
