Statistical Publications from Russia/NIS

A broad spectrum of statistical materials are available from the Russian Federation and other countries of the former Soviet Union. Data is available in a variety of formats from monographs, annuals, weekly and monthly periodicals to electronic databases.

There are several levels of sources for official statistics from the former Soviet Union. Official statistics are for the region as a whole are available from the Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, while statistics for individual countries are available from the relevant state statistical committees (i.e. from the State Statistical Committee of the Russian Federation for Russia). Regional and city-level statistics are available from the corresponding regional and city statistical committees. Increasingly, statistics are becoming available from alternative sources such as independent research foundations and scholarly institutes.
