Mr. Tweed returned to Minneapolis in October from United States Peace Corps assignment in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia, where he advised Kyrgyz NGOs on management principles and organizational development. While there he directed the Center for American Studies and developed two technology projects. Before that he served as an attorney for various firms, most recently including Thomson/West Publishing where he educated clients on how to use new information technologies.

"Lawrence Tweed will be our representative for the foreign-culture specialists using East View's products in the research collections and digital libraries at many of North America's top-ranked universities," said Kent Lee, East View's President and CEO. Lawrence Tweed earned his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law where he was recognized for excellence in legal writing and by the Minnesota Justice Foundation. He earned a bachelor's degree (cum laude) in philosophy, with a minor in Asian studies, from St. Olaf College.
